The Wyndham Championship will crown its 20th winner on Sunday as the PGA Tour regular-season finale gives players their last shot to get within the top 70 in FedExCup Points.
Players champ and Open runner-up Cameron Young is going off as the favorite for the second week in a row. Also feeling familiar from the Rocket pre-tournament odds: Jackson Koivun is the second name listed after a T-5 finish at Sedgefield last year as an amateur.
Rounding out the top five of expected contenders are a trio of Tour vets, Ben Griffin, Justin Thomas and Hideki Matsuyama. All three are still looking for their first win of the season.
Let’s take a deeper look at the favorites and just how big of a margin Young has walking into the regular-season finale.

Wyndham Championship outright winner
Typically we’d only go this deep (20 players) for a major, but seeing this one has some additional implications we figured it was worth extending the list. Plus, there’s phenom Blades Brown who has skyrocketed onto this list to go above fan favorite and three-time major champ Jordan Spieth.
We won’t obfuscate any longer. We’ve recommended this name a few times either as an outright or a T-10, and we are fearlessly going back to the well with Alex Fitzpatrick at +3800 (opened at +4500). The expectation is the Wake Forest grad will be comfortable this week back in the Tar Heel State — as well as rested after disappointing results across the pond last month, where he missed the cut at the Scottish Open and finishing T-71 at Royal Birkdale. This is a pick that willfully ignores those recent results in favor of a homecoming of sorts, seven T-25 finishes on the year, and a player who is among the top 20 in driving accuracy. Go forward at your own peril.
Wyndham Championship best bet
Coming off a four-player parlay that missed by a single leg last week, we’ll go straight with four individual T-10 plays:
- Sungjae Im (+380)
- Brian Harman (+420)
- J.T. Poston (+455)
- Johnny Keefer (+670)
Motivated to get inside the top 50 in points this week, Im comes into Wyndham seemingly capable of slamming his trunk on Friday or winning the tournament. He’s been a bit inconsistent of late (see: two T-20s and two MCs over his last four events). This opened almost at five-to-one so beware the value has been nearly sucked dry.
A lot of the same could be said for Harman who has seen his price drop a bit this week — but still it remains high enough where we’ll recommend action on one of the better drivers in the field. Harman’s approach and short game has been trending in the right direction this summer. He’s also six spots behind Im in the standings and would like to rise inside the top 50.
Poston, a former winner in 2019 and a hometown favorite, is plenty comfortable and coming in here rested after missing the cut at Royal Birkdale. Sitting 29th in the FedExCup standings, he’s got the proper motivation to stick inside the top 30 ahead of the playoffs.
Keefer might be the favorite play of the week based on the motivation: He’s 74th right now in the FedEx standings. We’ll take the flier here, still a bit charmed by his T-3 finish at last month’s Scottish Open.
Bonus pick
And for those looking for a parlay we went to the kitchen this morning and whipped up this three-legger bonus play that pays +3000: Cameron Young, Matt Wallace and Matti Schmid all to finish T-20. Remember, that one is just for fun.
