What’s at stake as LPGA enters stretch run of final six events

Can anyone stop Thitikul's title defense in Shanghai?
Jeeno Thitikul is looking for her third win in four starts this week in China, where she is defending her championship at the Buick LPGA Shanghai. Golf Channel's Paige Mackenzie breaks down Thitikul's maturation in 2026.

The LPGA has entered its closing stretch with six events left on the 2026 schedule, including the $11 million CME Group Tour Championship in Naples, Florida.

Before the season finale next month, though, the tour heads back to Asia for its second swing of the year.

The Buick LPGA Shanghai is the first of four Asian tournaments, with Jenno Thitikul set to defend her title after a dramatic rally last year at Sheshan International Golf Club in China.

The top 100 in CME Globe ranking points earn LPGA cards for 2027, with the top 60 after The Annika qualifying to play in the Tour Championship the weekend before Thanksgiving.

World No. 1 Nelly Korda sits atop the CME Globe race, with Thitikul in a distant second by almost 900 points. Miyu Yamashita, Haeran Ryu and Hyo Joo Kim round out the top 5.

The winner of the Tour Championship is set to earn the largest payout in women’s golf history at $4 million, with the runner-up walking away with a $1 million check.

Here’s a look at the remaining LPGA schedule of events:

Scottie Scheffler passed Tiger Woods for No. 1 on the PGA Tour’s all-time money list this year, and it’s only a matter of time until these three players topple Annika Sorenstam’s career-earnings record.
